Iget the message "no such client module live-installer" when trying to install OoenSUSE 5.0.3

Hello Everyone,

I need your help please. I have trying to install OpenSUSE 5.0.3, but it always fail at the start, and it shows the message “no such client module live-installer”, I tried to change the packman repository, and I even tried to disable it, with no luck.

What’s “OpenSUSE 5.0.3”? I’ve never heard of that. I don’t think it ever existed.

Correction everyone. the version is 12.3. I am sorry

A little confused here (probably everyone is) because there’s no such
version of openSUSE - 5.0.3 doesn’t follow the versioning scheme.

12.2 and 12.3 are the current releases, and 13.1 is due out this month.

Can you clarify the version you’re using and where you acquired it from?

In addition to my previous question about where you acquired it, can you
be more specific about the point at which this message shows up?

Have you verified the media using the “Check Media” option on the DVD
boot menu?

Are you using a LiveDVD or the installation DVD?

Hello Everybody,

I am sorry for being late to reply.

I fixed the issue below (Thanks to Jim Henders and the team). I checked the installation media, the installation CD was scratched or something, I booted up from an ISO image and everything worked like a charm.

Thank you very much.
