If you have KDE4 with sound problems look here

I have 11.1 with KDE4.2 & I had 3 things that were driving me crazy!
The first item was a very quick message about phonon not able to use digital going to analog or something like that.
The second that a widget I have called Timoid wouldn’t sound off the alarm I set for it.
Thirdly the sound just wasn’t right.
So, thanks to a post by one of our members Penguinclaw here’s a workaround that WFM.
1.Yast>Software Management
2. in search type pulseaudio find it in the right pane
3.delete it
My sound is better,Timoid works,& that annoying message is gone!

Thank you,
I did it and now I have no problem with sound conflicting.
I have one more question (probably it is not with that topic).
My kmix does not influence on amarok 2.0.1. When I change the volume by kmix then all sounds change but Amarok is in the same level. Do you know haw to change it?

That’s one helped I hope this helps others.

Amarok has it’s own volume adjustment. It is in the upper right hand corner, or I can just put the mouse over the icon in the system tray and use my mouse wheel to go up and down with the volume.
