Have just come back to open SUSE, after years of suffering Ubuntu, (not very with it regards installing etc, know enough to turn on (and just about copy and paste),
problem was that did not know how to connect wireless, now of course is done for me.
However, now have the following problems, should add never like Firefox, so using chromium.
a. You tube: all I get is a screen that is black,full of snow, and a message, an error has occurred,please try again, (been doing so for three days).
b. Minitube, seems to load, select what video i want to watch, get the list,white line (sorry don’t know correct terminology), then whole thing disappears,have read and read suggestions on the internet to no avail.
Yes have flashplayer and everything else i had when operating in Ubuntu,and yes it is probably me, but can someone explain in simple terms what i am doing or need to do to get them back. as far as I am aware, everything else is the usual SUSE perfect.
For Youtube to work, you need chromium-ffmpeg from Packman - installing it will ask you to uninstall chromium-ffmpegsumo, this is normal. You can also use chromium-pepper-flash from there if you want Flash support.
Add Packman repository from YAST2 / Repositories / Add / Community Repositories / Packman Repository.

Have now spent a fruitless morning doing the above, and researching the internet for a solution, it must be out there somewhere,else more users than I would have been on here.
I will give it one more day, then,afaid, will leave SUSE and switch to the dreaded Pinguy, at least there tube and mini are set up for you.

Hi, Have been told by she who must be obeyed that I should persevere, so here goes.
a. You tube loads, (after action advised),no picture or sound, but when cursor on time bar, shows miniature of what I would be watching, if that makes sense.
b. Have still be unable to find any information regarding minitube , all I can find on internet is related to previous versions of Suse and I don’t think apply, of course I could be wrong,but any help for those with the nohow would be appreciated.

Got no clue what mini tub is but Youtub works just fine here in FireFox. Not at all sure about the chrome plated browsers but following the above should install what you need.
Have you checked this:

It should have something like this in it:
