icons on taskbar out of position after monitor change

I had to replace the monitor from a dell 15 inch to a Acer AL1715 .17 inch monitor …after changing the screen res to suit the new monitor which is fine …I now have a taskbar which does not reach across the the screen …also the green application launcher button is in the wrong position on the task bar …it was easy with Gnome to move these icons across but how do i do it with KDE 4.1 ?

i have read the manual and searched for the answer here but cannot seem to get the green launcher to its rightful place …

not really a hardware problem :slight_smile:
Right click the panel, “Unlock Widgets”. Right click again, Panel Options, Panel Settings. Now adjust the panel, shove the icons around, finally lock the widgets again.
