Icon is missing in Context menu (11.4 with GNome)

Hello All,

I switched from 11.2 to 11.4 yesterday. I noticed that the Appearance dialog has only three tabs instead of four tabs. The last tab “Interfaces” does not exist, in where I can select “Show Icon in Context Menu”. But I do not know, how to show icons in context menu.

Any hints are appreciated

There is a known issue with icons in gnome
I don’t have a solution, but mine are back now. It seemed to be post install of multimedia+ which included wxwidgets
Most missing icons are kde icons if you have kde apps (thunderbird too if you have installed it)

Probably you just need to run “gtk-update-icon-cache”. The problem isn’t really new, but since SuSEconfig doesn’t run it anymore I suppose more people will notice it.

I do not mean that icons are missing. Previously there is an option to show icons in context menu. (For instance, if this option is enabled, I can see icons on the context menu in Eclipse.) But in 11.4 this option is gone.

i just read this “I finally found out what went wrong: It seems like
gtk-query-immodules-2.0-64 did not get run” in this thread
http://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php?t=455099

and wonder if it too used to be run by SuSEconfig…AND, maybe lots
of gtk setup should continue to be run by SuSEconfig ???

or, maybe some devs wanna write a page or three for the wiki on the
workaround we require our gtk lovers to do, from now on ??

Unfortunately, it does not help.
