Icemcfd on openSUSE10.3 64bit

Exporting a mesh in Icemcfd (Fluent solver) using openSUSE10.3 64bit generates the following error message:

Running Fluent V6 Interface Vers 11.0.2
Fluent6: arg.C:645: arg_format: Assertion ‘f -> code’ failed

Contacting the support desk (Ansys) a newer interface was sent to us (version11.0.6) but the error remains. Ansys does not support openSuSE at all and therefore won’t help (Ansys only supports SuSE ES 9.0).

We have a number of workstations running openSuSE10.1 32bit and 64bit, there is no problem exporting the mesh in Icemcfd. For workstations running openSuSE10.3 32bit, there is no problem either. But for workstations running openSuSE10.3 64bit, the export mesh do not work.

We can now narrow the problem down specifically to the 64-bit machines that are running on SUSE 10.3.

Could it be due to a missing repository file or the location of a needed compiler or other?

Any additional help on this would be most welcome!

Thanks

The fix for export Fluent mesh from Icemcfd11 is to get the icemcfd v12 latest output interface and do the following.

You need to install the files (fluent6, fluent6.bcinfo. fluent6.tcl) in directory icemcfd/output-interfaces

Problem solved

hi,
we use icem cfd 10 on opensuse 10.3 64 bit.

when we try to get grid output to Fluent V6 it gives an error message as;

unrecognized arg: -dom_list.

how can we fix it?

thanks.
