You need to tell us a little bit more before we can help. First, tell us about the openSUSE you are using, how you installed it and if you tried running from the LiveCD or not. Next, tell us about your computer, does it have wired and wireless networking and about the exact hardware you have. Tell us about the actual network connection, wired, wireless and type of internet service you have. If you have a dual boot computer or another computer, does it work just fine in Windows? We assume you have some other method to get online to talk with us.

openSUSE Version: ___ 32 or 64 bit: ___
Desktop Used is KDE: ___ or GNOME: ___
Computer Make: ___ and Model: ___
Wireless Hardware: ___ Wired Hardware: ___ (Look in Windows device Manager for network details)
Internet Service is: ____ Internet Connection is: ____
Have you ever used Linux Before: ____

Feel free to include any other relevant information.

Thank You,

openSUSE Version: _11.3 32 or 64 bit: _32
Desktop Used is KDE: ___ or GNOME: ___
Computer Make: _HP and Model: _zt3000
Wireless Hardware: ___ Wired Hardware: ___ (Look in Windows device Manager for network details)
Internet Service is: ____ Internet Connection is: ____
Have you ever used Linux Before: __no

I can’t get the other information, sorryy. I would need some big helpto find this out…sorry…

I would go into YaST / Network Devices / Network Settings and Press OK, if you are running NetworkManager. Then, go to the Overview Tab and read back to me the information that shows up here. If, you are trying to use wireless by default, are loading KDE and have not run the kwallet, your pass phrase is not being saved or you have not entered your network SSID and encryption type, then wireless will not work. If you wish to use only a wired connection, you may be better off by disabling Network Manager. Go to the Global Options Tab and select the bullet for “Traditional Method using ifup”. Then select OK in the bottom right and when done, restart your computer. Consider that when you give so little information about your setup it makes providing any useful help to you difficult, even though it obvious you may need help.

Thank You,

you might want to start with some reading
At some point i bet you read some book called something like " How to Windows xp - or vista ) "

The same goes for any distro of Linux for SUSE
