I lost NetworkManager

Somehow I managed to lose NetworkManager. In YAST2/Network Settings, I have checked the radio button “User Controlled With NetworkManager” but I still do not have the NetworkManger icon in the system tray, and I cannot find anything in Application Launcher that will allow me to launch it. In order to use the network, I have to check the other radio button in Network Settings (the one for “Traditional Method with ifup”) since the network no longer works when the “User Controlled With NetworkManager” button is checked.
Can someone tell me which program and other dependencies need to be installed to get NetworkManager working again? I am running 11.1 (KDE).
Thanks.
Dave

Switch back to NetworkManagere in Yast. Then in the Kicker Applications menu, check in Applications → System → Desktop Applet → Network Manager. Does that work?
