I installed 64-bit suse11.1,question,is about Formatting?

Today I reinstalled suse64-bit everything went perfect now.

Formating Partition:

From start we have a choice Ext2,ext3…or fat, what gona happen if I take fat instead Ext3/2?.

Could you please help me out and I appreciate for
your extra time ;).

FAT won’t work for Linux partitions. Don’t do it. Stick with ext3, it’s a good choice for most users. For shared data partitions also used by Windows, FAT is ok.

I have two choice when I reinstalled the second time I chose EXT3 that what you saying.So one point for me,I save know time for reinstall again.
