I have no idea if my system bios acually updated

I have a very old Lenovo Thinkstation s20 and recently updated the bios using the Freedos flash utility. The update went smoothly and I did see the ending screen for the update (meaning it should have completed). However, when I looked into my bios settings the old bios revision number was still there. Now I’m a little puzzled because I clearly saw my system update. While this isn’t the most dire situation I would like someone else’s two-sense on if my system preformed the update or not (I could obviously do another update if needed).

*Note: I think I could have said “no” on the “update rv number option”, however, I don’t really remember (it could have been the date or smth).

Did you perform a cold boot after flashing?

Yes, I completely powered off my system when prompted.

I just realized that my bios date changed to the new update!! I think the name is a little buggy (or I said no to changing it on the update) but at least I know my bios updated.
