I have KDE installed, but my most recent update contains GNOME application Platform 47. I haven’t updated and need help trouble-shooting and fixing.
Can anyone help?

This isn’t even remotely enough information to say anything.
But you Say “GNOME Application Platform 47” Which probably means you’re talking about flatpaks.
Can you please confirm, that you’re talking about Updating your flatpaks?
i.e. “Show, Don’t Tell.”
Copy and paste this error, including the command you’re using that results in this error.
I believe that is true. When I open the Discover app, this is where the updates are listed and that is the title. How can I verify?
Dependency resolution failed:
problem with the installed libxvidcore4-1.3.7-1699.1.pm.80.x86_64
Flatpaks require a runtime to operate. If you’ve got a flatpak application that uses the GTK toolkit, chances are, you’re going to need the GNOME Application Platform.
This is perfectly normal, and does not mean that you’re going to have the GNOME Desktop installed on your machine.
Ok, this error has nothing to do with the GNOME Application Platform. This is a Packman Issue.
Discover will not be able to fix this, as it can’t do Conflict or Dependency Resolution.
You will need to open Konsole, and type sudo zypper dup
Thanks for clarifying that. I was blaming the wrong item.
I’m comfortable with that. Let’s see what the options are
Problem: 1: problem with the installed libxvidcore4-1.3.7-1699.1.pm.80.x86_64
Solution 1: install libxvidcore4-1.3.7-4.1.x86_64 from vendor openSUSE
replacing libxvidcore4-1.3.7-1699.1.pm.80.x86_64 from vendor http://packman.links2linux.de
Solution 2: keep obsolete libxvidcore4-1.3.7-1699.1.pm.80.x86_64
I’m inclined to choose Solution 1
Choose selection 1, and then just let the dup finish.
Thanks for all the help. Everything is up to date.
