openSUSE 12.3
Windows 7 Pro
<------- Not sure what else is needed here ------>
Everything was working well and I upgraded from a wireless connection to wired via a TrendNet TPL406E.
It works very well under the native openSUSE mode but not when I try and fire up Virtual Box.
The network section I think needs to be changed to reflect the wireless to wired change but I don’t know what to do.
I tried a few things and succeeded in locking up the machine, so here I am, hat in hand.
thanks

If you setup to use NAT networking in the VM, then any change in the hosts
networking is completely transparent. If you use bridged networking so that the
VM is accessible from the outside, then the setup requires the name of the
interface on the host. Use the VB control page, to set this up.
Thank you LW, it’s working now.
Apparently, the wired networking needed to be turned on within windows, for some mysterious reason.
