I can't open application in yaST

I made fresh install tumbleweed but yast does not open any application, the problem is the same in both wayland and x11

Do you get any errors when you start YaST from a terminal and try to open any submenu?

/usr/bin/xdg-su -c /sbin/yast2

unfortunately I don’t get any errors.

@can:

Where did you obtain the Tumbleweed installation image?

Did you check that the download was successful?

  • Is the Checksum of the downloaded image correct?

I downloaded here and image is fine. I think this problem only exists in the Tumbleweed version because there is no problem in the slowroll version

I run

Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20250120
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0
Qt Version: 6.8.1
Kernel Version: 6.12.10-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11

and YaST works fine.

Please run (as user “root” in a console)

journalctl -f

then open YaST from the Plasma-menu and try to open any YaST-application.

Go back to the console, press Ctrl+c, and show all the console content beginning with journalctl -f up to the next empty command prompt in your next post.

I can’t do this because I switched todifferent distribution due to the problems I’m experiencing. Thank you for your interest.
