I can't login. I receive “Login incorrect”.

Hi everybody, I have some problem with login. In particular, I can’t access to graphical login and I have the tty1 screen where I should insert username/password. Nevertheless I receive the message “LOGIN INCORRECT” for every usernames and passwords that I insert. I tried to enter in recovery mode and I read “Failde to start X Display Manager” …Then the last line is " reached target graphical interface". Then all is blocked and I can’t do anything.

I don’t know how I can resolve this situation. I hope you help me. Thank you.

To start with, check your numlock and caps lock settings on that screen, see if you have been unwittingly entering the wrong password as a result.
