i cant hear any sounds on my pc.

i tried to search for the exact version of my linux opensuse system and then going to do what the directions says to uninstall then reinstall adobe flash. installing the flash did not help any, and i dont know where to go in my avtivirus or firewall settings like it says to go to.

now its time to aska professional here because i dont even understand these file extentions. which one is to open a file or folder? and is tar.gz the zipped files that im always to click on to unzip the ziped file?

Welcome rich44689 to the openSUSE forums. You need to tell use more about your setup…

  1. openSUSE version like 11.4 and if 32 or 64 bit.
  2. What desktop do you use like KDE or GNOME?
  3. Tell about your computer, brand and model as well as anything about your sound setup.
  4. Does any sound work? Perhaps there is only a problem with Flash?

As an apparent new user, there is lots to know. Let me point you to one area that can answer lots of questions…
