Wodim refuses. k3b crashes. Brasero refuses. What to do, double layer? :-/

Brasero says: “the data size is too large for the disc even with the
overburn option”.

wodim says:

Someone suggested using “isomaster” to remove mono and unneeded languages to reduce the iso size to fit on a single layer DVD. I can’t find the link, but the method worked for me.

On the other hand RC1 is due in a couple of days and it might fit on a single layer.

openSUSE 11.4 Milestone 6 of 6

  • 64-bit DVD isos are broken and too big to burn on single layer DVD -
    workaround: use NET iso

But netinstall is not an option for me. :-/

There is no Factory DVD. There are 11.4-Milestone6 DVDs of which the 64bit one is too big. See this thread: openSUSE 11.4 Milestone 6 ISOs are too large for 4.7 GB DVDs ???

However MS6 is at end-of-live and 11.4-RC1 is due tomorrow. Most importantly (in terms of size) this will have KDE-4.6.0 rather than a pre-release KDE. Either wait a day or two, or use a NET or Live CD install from factory which will be the same as or very close to 11.4-RC1
