i can't believe!!!!

ahhaha i’m very very satisfied by 11.2, she’s joyfully running on my laptop, shutting down it in less than 20 seconds (it’s important… first she stops, first i can leave the office…)

thank you for this great product… i can finally forget those terrible months with windows vista…

Inspirational picture.

Also, nice that you’ve found it good - I have too

why thumbs down then? or was this intentional to get our attention?

If that was OP’s plan in your case **it wooooorked!**rotfl!

I couldn’t agree more.

just joking

Thus far my 11.2 experience has been fairly good on 4 PCs. I still have some 11.2 aspects that I am working out, and I’m still waiting for some packages to be packaged, but overally I’m grinning from ear to ear with the success of the new release.

From what I can see from the various posts, a number of the ATI graphic card users are not so pleased (seems to me it is this way for EVERY new Linux distro release) and I note some wireless users are struggling still with KDE’s knetwork manager. Hopefully such hiccups will be fixed soon!

Add me to the list of happy campers.

Yeah, I gave up on knetworkmanager, but I can live with ifup. The Gnome version works fine, but the KDE version has just gone through a major overhaul and they still have some issues to address. I expect that they will get it ironed out soon. Other than that, KDE is looking sweet. I am playing with Gnome a bit, but in comparison to KDE, it looks dated. Kind of like dropping back from Windows 7 to Windows 2000. However, it is rock solid.

I know a lot of folks will blame openSUSE for the ATI driver issues, but they always have. We are used to that. I wish this laptop had nVidia, but I am at the mercy of ATI. On the other hand, they used to make us wait for months at a time for a new driver. They are better than they used to be in that respect.

openSUSE 11.2 sweet.
