Hi,
I have installed Opensuse 11.2 recently using a DVD. So my DVD rom is certainly ok and works fine. But when I put a CD or DVD in it, nothing happens!
In fact there is no way for me to access it. I have even added my user name to CDRom group (in users & groups) but still the problem is remaining.
Any Idea?!
Is this KDE4 by any chance?
And adding to caf4926’s quesions, were you loged in in the GUI when you inserted?
You say: nothing happened, what did you expect to happen?
BTW, did you remove that group attachement after your try? And there is no group CDRom on my system, nearest to it is cdrom. but do not go and add to that group, because it is not the solution.
