I can not play video files with Dragon Player

Hello all,

I tried to play an mp4 file with Dragon Player I heard no sound and saw no image, I thought I should try another file - so I tried to play another file with this app but the same problem happens - I’m very upset about this problem >:( as I was using opensuse 13.1 and the same problem appeared there - I am trying to find a solution for this problem and I’ll be thankful if you can tell me how to solve this problem

Do you have the codecs from packman?

Show us zypper lr -d and will give details

are those 13.1 and LEAP repositories, first remove your 13.1 repositories (remove the install dvd too as it’s not needed after install)

sudo zypper rr 5 7 8 14

seeing how you had a few bad repo’s first do a dup to the LEAP update repository and then one with packman to get everything fixed and working

sudo zypper dup --from 19

do the above to make sure you don’t have 13.1 packages lurking around as LEAP update repo #25 will become #19 after removing the 4 repo’s before it.

sudo zypper dup --from 8

do the above to fix multimedia, packman should become #8 as you will remove 3 repo’s before it (5 7 8)

edit
just one thought, the more repositories you have the bigger the chances that something might get mixed up and broken, do you really need Emulators:/Wine repo why don’t you just use wine from the update repo, clean your repositories remove unneeded ones.

2nd edit
I didn’t see repo #27
remove the VLC repo as that repo breaks packman/multimedia use VLC from packman

I did that but it didn’t solve the problem

Try cleaning the gstreaner cache.

$ rm -rf  ~/.cache/gstreamer-1.0/

Bo

That actually worked! rotfl! I’m now able to play videos with Dragon Player, thank you …

Good to hear!
