I am not able to connect to my wireless network.

Hello everyone,

I just installed opensuse 11.4 and i’m not being able to connect to my wireless lan. It recognizes my network, but when I click “ok” after typing the password it is like I had done nothing, no connection is set at all. Any ideas to solve this issue? I guess it is probably some configuration stuff since my notebook recognizes all available wireless networks. Sorry about the lack of details, but that is all I got.
Thank you all.

Please can you post the result of

/sbin/lspci -nnk

the result is:

Now that I restarted my pc, when I try to connect to my network it keeps opening the “Secrets for ‘my lan’” window and then, after something like three times, it goes back to no connection.

Don’t know how, but problem solved!
Thank you.

Just FYI

This is your device

Note the comments here, just in case you have problems again
HCL:Network (Wireless) - openSUSE

I am also not able to connect to the internet the same way in wireless lan.

My device uses:

/sbin/lspci -nnk
0c:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Network Connection [8086:4222] (rev 02)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device [8086:1020]

Let know if someone knows the fix.

That device is working. I have a laptop with it and I can tell you I never used a Linux distro yet that it didn’t work on out of the box.
