Hyprland failed to load 1 essential asset, blame your distro’s packager for doing a bad job at packaging…
I get this error popped up every time I log into Hyprland, although everything works, thereafter.

So, is a wayland compositor running?
no, only hyprland.
As I said, everything works. I can log into hyprland and do my usual stuff, but at the beginning this error appears as this,
Hyprland is Wayland compositor. It is impossible to draw conclusions from the arbitrary filtered log file.
Contact Hyprland community, ask how to find out what “asset” it complains about. The only “asset” I see in log
[LOG] loadAsset: looking at wall0.png unsuccessful: ec Success
[LOG] loadAsset: looking at wall0.png unsuccessful: ec Success
[LOG] loadAsset: looking at wall0.png unsuccessful: ec Success
[ERR] loadAsset: looking for wall0.png failed (no provider found)
I have no idea what it is about.
Next time please upload your logs to https://paste.opensuse.org/
@rvsmooth likely looking for hyprland-qtutils (which isn’t needed on openSUSE).
In your ~/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf
in the misc section add;
disable_hyprland_qtutils_check = true
@rvsmooth hyprland-qtutils is available, but never needed or used… also install hyprland-wallpapers to remove the other warnings…
Hey,
hyprland-qtutils was already installed. And it(the error pop up) got fixed by installing hyprland-wallpapers.
Thank you.
It got fixed now. And yeah it was the wallpaper asset.
I thought he meant to ask if there were other compositors running along with hyprland, that’s why I said, only hyprland
Sure, I did not know this site existed.
