Dear experts,
in OpenSuse 13.2, installing hylafax included installing a connection to systemd so that I could automatically start and stop hylaxfax with the commands:
**systemctl start hylafax
**systemctl enable hylafax
systemctl stop hylafax
and check if it’s running by
systemctl status hylafax.
After upgrading my operating system to leap, hylafax was “upgraded” to hylafax+ and the connection to systemd was purged automatically.
systemctl daemon-reload did not help.
Furthermore, after reinstalling hylafax instead of hylafax+ via yast, the connction to systemd did not reappear.
Furthermore, I didn’t find any online manual how to reinstall it. >:(
Only how to setup a service for faxgetty is described at http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/howto/install.php.
Can anybody help me?
Thank You, Gerald
P.S.: incorrect: After reinstalling hylafax instead of hylafax+, starting hylafax by **
systemctl start hylafax**
was possible in Leap as it had been in Opensuse 13.2, even if
** systemctl --type=service | grep -i fax**
does not reveal it if inactive.
So the only remaining question is, if and how the new default programme hylafax+ can/needs to be started under systemd.
Gerald
You may want to try the English language section of the forum instead.
“**Failed to start hylafax.service: Unit hylafax.service failed to load: No such file or directory”.**https://forums.opensuse.org/images/icons/icon8.png
