Hello,
I am facing a curious problem with Huawei E169 3G modem. When I plugin the modem, it is recognised and it shows up in the Network connections.
I have configured the connection in the Network Manager by selecting the service provider and the settiings. When I try to make a connection in KDE or Grnome, I get connection error. However after playing around by removing the modem and trying to reconnect and also switching off the Mobile Broadband setting in Gnome, I was finally able to make a connection in Gnome.

When I try to remove/reinsert and try to make a connection in KDE also, I do not get a connection.
I changed over to gnome and was not able to make the connection there. But while playing around by removing/reinserting the modem and also enabling disabling the Mobile Broadband selection, I was finally able to make the connection.

I have seen that I am unable to make a connection with KDE, but it works with Gnome. Is there anyway to get it working with KDE also automatically. I also have usb mode switch package installed.
Regards
