note, SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) is a commercial product
sold by Novell…you are currently at the openSUSE community
site…where you are welcome…BUT SLED and openSUSE are not the same
and most folks here are on openSUSE 11.1 and really have little idea
about your system…
using SLED 10 you will get the best answer (and the one you paid for)
by buying SLED over in the forums.novell.com
BUT, before you go have a look at this forums search page and search
on huawei in the thread title…within the last two or three weeks i
remember a thread that had an answer i think would be helpful for
any huawei modem…

Huawei E160 worked good for me.
Use /dev/ttyUSB0 as the modem, with some dial number like 99# or 99*2#, or etc, depending on the ISP .
