HTTP Status 400 - exception looking up trusted root

Does anyone here know what would cause the following to be displayed in KDE4-konqueror?

It is produced when trying to log into another web forum. I’m unsure whether it’s related to my konqueror settings or whether it’s an issue with the site itself. The issue has been present throughout KDE 4.0.x to the recent 4.1 RC, the situation has been the same for a number of months.

Firefox, Opera and KDE3-Konqueror don’t seem to have this problem.

I tried a few google searches around the problem at various points in the past but not found anything useful.

Any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated as always:)

Hi,

See here what the official document about the HTTP protocol say of it:

HTTP/1.1: Status Code Definitions

10.4.1 400 Bad Request

The request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax. The client SHOULD NOT repeat the request without modifications.

It is likely a client problem.
If you have seen this error only when using KDE4-konqueror, I would suggest report this to the package developer team, or better yet, dig in their mail list, they surely have already fixed.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply and the link, should prove useful in the future too I’m sure. I won’t have the time over the next couple of days to be looking through mailing lists, however I’ll certainly get on to it ASAP.

By package team I assume you mean looking though the appropriate openSUSE mailing list as opposed to upstream KDE?
