Hello everybody. I would like to ask you if you have ever managed to make High Quality or High Definition video calls in Linux.
If yes what is your camera model and what type of program did you use for that?
I would like to thank you in advance for your help.
Best Regards
Alex.

What are “High Quality or High Definition video calls” ?
If you mean smoothly play back HD videos from a camera (like my Canon HF S10 ? ) then the answer is yes. I can do this with ffmplayer, vlc, mplayer and xine on my Intel Core i7.

I mean video calls with video resolution greater or equal 640*480. I am talking about video cameras and video calls.
