I’m trying to add my HP Envy 4520 printer in openSUSE. I downloaded the HPLIP app, and the only way I can find it is by using the IP address. The computer finds the printer, but when I try to add it, it wants a Username and Password. I’ve never used a Username or Password on my printer, ever. My iPhone and iPad automatically connect to the printer, but I’m having problems getting it to work in openSUSE. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
I figured it out. Instead of going directly through the HPLIP app, you do the same steps mentioned above through YAST Printers and everything works fine.

Why download?
hplip can be installed with yast/zypper.
PS:
Only root can install, so you have to use them in the hplip.

Correct. I didn’t know that at first and did things the hard way. Once I went through YAST, setup was a breeze.
