HP Printer - Laserjet P1102w (Wifi connection)

Hi all;

I have a properly configured printer.
She was set to via Wifi connection, but do not know how configure it in Opensuse, I tried to add it as a network printer but the Opensuse not found it.

  • Ensure hplip is installed
  • As root, run hp-setup - I found it useful to give the printer a static IP and then manually enter that IP address rather than trust the hp-setup to do a search for it.

I forgot to mention …

If printing a test page results in the test print spread across 4 pages, there’s a work-around. If I remember correctly it this:

# zypper in -f cups
# rccups restart
