HP Pavilion dv6 Crashes while Installing openSUSE 12.1

I’ve been tryin to install openSUSE for a couple of days now and I haven’t been successful. I rebot my pc and enter boot it from the CD/DVD driver. It opens the driver but when I click on installation the screen goes black, the PC is still on but it does nothing!

This is my system:

Windows 7 (brand new pc, barely 3 weeks)
HP pavilion dv6 6GHz Ram Memory
500GB
Radeon HD 6400 (or 6600,not sure)
QuadCore

->I’ve done a few things. I’ve partitioned the HD so I’d have 100GB free for the openSUSE. Installed the “.iso” file in a DVD compatile with my x86_64 windows;
->I boot the DVD and tryed changing the Vídeo mode to a lower one, VESA and text mode. When it runs on text mode the last line I see before going all dark is “starting udev…”

I’ve tryed changing Kernel to no ACPO and No Local APIC, but it all winds up to the same trouble.

I dont know what else to do… Any advice?

Thanks!

I’m very noob, never used linux b4!

Did you try the safe settings install ?

Did you try installing by disabling kernel modesetting ? You can do that by entering the boot code ‘nomodeset’ at the very first installation boot screen (where you can select the kernel mode and video mode etc … ). Just type ‘nomodeset’ (no quotes) in the options line and then try the instal.
