I have installed suse 11.2 and than begin problems

1.when I start firefox and when i open some web page
firefox is little slow but when I use windows xp on the same lap top firefox and other programs work perfectly

  1. when I watch video on youtube in fullscreen mode it is bugging like stopping on 1 sec. that isn’t because buffering
    like 3 or 4 sec. goes normally and than bugging 1 sec over and over again on WINDOWS XP goes perfectly!!AGAIN!

can somebody help me?I don’t like windows i want use suse but THIS IS VERY ANNOYING TO ME!

is it problem in video drivers or something like that?
when i watch movies with VLC player everything is ok and work great, also music files and all programs

but firefox,opera opening and watching web pages and watching video material in fullscreen mode on net are horrible

I tried disable Compiz and all effects on suse but it is like before…how to make my hp work properly and fast?
please somebody help me i will crazy…

What video player are you using what is the graphics card in the system these play a part in how it works.

Sounds like IPv6, search the forums on how to switch it off (has been discussed many times).

i tried disable IPv6 in Network Settings but its same thing…
maybe something another with IPv6?

Search a little more, then you will find out why this -most likely, depending on installed kernel flavor- does NOT switch IPv6 off on 11.2.

I have the same system. It works fast like a Rocket. Make all updates ind yast…the older version of firefox i a bit slow. If this dont work, make a new installation of opensuse 11.2. And after all updates in yast. For mediaplayer works vlc nice. On my system (hp 5101) it never takes more than 10% cpu for soundtraffic and the flashpayer works fast…
