HP integrated TV card problem

I’ve been trying to configure my TV card which is about 18 months old but not in the list which appears a bit euro-centric to this Canadian. I’ve tried going with the not listed option but I’m getting nowhere .

I’m running OpenSUSE 11.2 64 bit. The TV card is:

HP ATSC/Analog hybrid capture device.

Avermedia vendor and Phillips chip 1131-000A=NXP SAA7160.

Also Canada is not in the cable provider country list.

Thanks

Hi
Have you installed the dvbtools? Also can you look at the dmesg output,
does it see your card ok (also look in YaST)?

Does a manual scan work? look in the directory atsc for other scan
files;

scan /usr/share/dvb/atsc/us-NTSC-center-frequencies-8VSB -o zap | tee
~/channels.conf
