HP (HPLIP) zombie

Can anyone that uses 12.2
And if it matters, I am _64 and KDE

And if you have HP Printer software running in the tray
Please open a terminal and see if you have a zombie process. I identified mine as HP, and sure enough if I quit it from the tray, the zombie goes.
I also note that the options from the HP icon for ‘settings’ etc… don’t function either.

HPLIP from default repos: 3.12.4-3.1.2

I’m using 3.12.11 from the printing repo because I had probs getting 3.12.4 working with my printer.
On 12.2 64 I have the zombie hp-upgrade running at all times despite having upgrade disabled in hp-toolbox.

this seems to indicate the zombie process was fixed in 3.12.6
