HP envy Touchpad tapping issues

HI,
I have installed OpenSuse 11.3 on a HP Envy core i7. My touchpad has a strange behaviour.

I have configure my touch pad to be of when I type on the keyboard and after 0.5 sec. to be on again. But then often the tapping of the touchpad remains off. Then I have to open the touchpad settings and to turn it on.

Another issue is the bottom part because it is not possible to choose: tapping with two fingers. Then when I try to drag or to move something it is virtually impossible because the controller does not identify the two fingers, one pressing the left button and the second dragging/moving.

Any idea what is going on? or how to solve these problems?

Have you looked at the various threads relating to touchpads? There are a number of possibilities from the driver not being compatible through needing to install the relevant synaptics driver for KDE or Gnome.

Yes, I did but there is no solution to my issues.

Sinaptiks on HP Envy does not recognise two fingers and that’s the central problem.
