The sound works perfectly on Vista, I am dual-booting.

I ran /usr/sbin/alsa-info.sh to get more information and the result is uploade here.
http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=81c5805b8e2802b11563acfff2658802d2598337

Here is the output from tsalsa
tsalsa.txt - nopaste.com (beta)

I have tried bunch of solution found on the web but still no sound.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SOLVED.

I just rebooted the box and the sound is working. Sorry to waste forums space. I had to go to alsamixer to turned up the volume. Thanks.

Glad to read it is working now.

It looks like you updated your /etc/modprobe.d/sound file with “model=hp-m4” and “enable_msi=1”. Is that correct?

correct that is one of the step I did including many alsa downloads.
