I’ve installed this through the printer configuration tool. It is recognized properly and it installs the drivers using Yast2. However the testpage only prints garbage, as does Office.
Any ideas?

For HP printers/scanners I’ve normally installed hplip via YaST or
zypper and then as root user run hp-setup. Then use hp-toolbox to
control, never used YaST.
