hi
my wife use opensuse 11.2 and she has a hp 3300C scanner
when she scan with the kde program (scanlite) and choose a resolution higher then 75, when the scanner start, scanlite put the resolution to 75…
last time i scanned, i was able to scan to 600 dpi without problem…
any idea?
thanks
I’ve always scanned with Kooka, except when the 11.0 version didn’t support my scanner, and I had to use the backend app directly. Kooka is just a (very good) GUI for the various command-line apps (backends) that actually drive the many scanners opensuse support.
It could be an error in the frontend you’re using (scanlite? never heard about it) that won’t use the correct parameter syntax for the backend to run.
Try using Kooka if it’s available in 11.2, or another frontend, or the backend directly. You’d have to research what the backend is, check it’s man page or use the instructions in the developer’s page.
