HP 2133 Insallation Please help me + reward

Hello,

I still can’t get the graphix driver to work, I can’t change the resolution because there is only one option.

And how do I install the wireless driver.

And I’ve downloaded a DvD of 1.5 gig of the site of HP and how do I install the drivers on it?

Reward: because I had so many trouble with it I give an reward. To the one who can fix it i give 5 euro with paypal. 2.5€ for the one who fixes graphix and 2.5€ for the one who fixes wireless.

Driver names:
Wireless: bcm 4312

Graphix: Chrome9

Download and install this driver. Software.openSUSE.org

You might find the oneclick install the easiest way.

not all HP mini-laptops are made using graphics hardware which has
drivers for linux…i do not know if this model does, or not…

does HP sell the same laptop with Linux installed?? the best way to
have a Laptop working well with Linux is to buy it with Linux
installed…HP, Dell, IBM/Lenovo and others make machines for and
with Linux…

additionally, many manufacturers [including HP] will VOID the warranty
and refuse to give support/help if you switch operating system…

as for the Broadcom wireless, i think if you look in the wireless
sub-forum of the networking forum you might find a ready answer…or,
there is a search function both in the fora and via google…perhaps
this string at google will find something for you

also, you might check the Hardware Compatibility List
http://en.opensuse.org/HCL/ before, or after purchase…your choice.

I already checked palladium. The checks do show it comes with Windows pre-installed, or SLE pre-installed. It also shows the video card as VIA Chrome 9.

the driver is not working i’ve installed it but the screen is the same and there arn’t any resolution added to the display menu

Did you logout and back in or reboot after the install? You must restart X (the graphic system) to start the new driver.

With the BCM4312, you need the Broadcom wl package. Do a search in the
wireless subforum to see how to do that.

Post /etc/X11/xorg.conf file the “screen” section.
