Heh, I don’t think I can help you there. Even if my fax still works,
international faxing can be pretty expensive - more if I answer the
phone by mistake instead of the fax :slight_smile:

Robin, I didn’t mean to suggest I wanted to send my test faxes to you! I knew you previously used your modem for faxes. If it’s a serial port modem, it’s pretty easy to use it in a virtual machine. I don’t have a dedicated fax connection either.

What I have to do for my fax testing is get a neighbor set up to receive and send local faxes. That used to be easy during the XP days!

Deano, I don’t need smpppd running to use my serial port modem in my virtual machine. That was my goal here, so I don’t have any daemon issues now that I know of. Heboland.

I think I once tested my fax setup sending to a local shop, one of those
that do photocopies and such, and send/receive faxes. For a price, of
course.
