How update/patch the kernel?

So it’s working ok, just you have a connection issue.

You have like 10 other AP’s around your area don’t you? Is it possible
for you to take the netbook for a walk and see if you can reduce the
number and still see yours and try to connect? Else is there one that
is open you could connect to and see if you get an ip address ok?

Sigh. Tried it, and still no good.

I really wanted openSUSE on this laptop but it looks like it’s not going to happen.

(BTW, it does see the network at 100%)

Have you tried disabling any encryption on your router and seeing if it
connects?

Yep. Tried it and it doesn’t help.

What I don’t get is that windows can see it on the SAME computer (it’s dual boot), so why can’t linux? What’s the linux driver missing?
