hi there
i am an absolute novice at linux and would appreciate some help. my resolv.conf file returns to a blank state every time i reboot. it is quite anoying as it contains DNS servers meaning i have to change it to access the internet.
how would i write a script to replace the resolv.conf file with another one from my documents every time i reboot?
thanks for any help!

any other suggestions?
Hi
You don’t say what version of openSUSE your using so I will assume 11,
but should be the same for others;
YaST-> Network Devices -> Network Settings -> Hostname/DNS tab is the
Update DNS data via DHCP checked? If it isn’t and there is no data
entered for the Name Servers etc, then enter and save.
