how to use kde3 for vnc

i upgraded from10.3 to 11.2 and now it use kde4, which is very slow for vnc connection.

i wonder if there is a way to just use kde3 (which i assume is still in the system) for vnc connection.

i know i need to change the ~/.vnc/xstartup file, but not sure how. basically, i need a command to call kde3, but not the startkde command, which starts kde4.

thanks for help

You would need the kde3 desktop installed. And It’s been discontinued in 11.2, so you can’t have a KDE desktop served from 11.2. You can install Gnome alongside KDE4 and serve that Desktop by vnc, but sadly, KDE3’s days are over.
