How to upgrade Mono to latest release (3.10.0) ?

Hi Everyone,

I love how OpenSUSE made it so easy to install mono (and monodevelop). Virtually zero problems getting everything installed.

I’m currently at this version: 3.0.6 and I would like to get to 3.10.0 (latest)

mono --version
Mono JIT compiler version 3.0.6 (tarball Sat Sep 28 04:42:52 UTC 2013)
Copyright (C) 2002-2012 Novell, Inc, Xamarin Inc and Contributors. www.mono-project.com
TLS: __thread
SIGSEGV: altstack
Notifications: epoll
Architecture: amd64
Disabled: none
Misc: softdebug
LLVM: supported, not enabled.
GC: Included Boehm (with typed GC and Parallel Mark)

Can someone pls send me steps on how I can upgrade from 3.0.6 to 3.10.0.
Although I’m very happy the mono install was painless, I was disappointed that it was 20 builds behind the mainline project. (I counted them ! ) rotfl!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

I forgot to mention that I’m using OpenSUSE 13.1

The only place you can get 3.10.0 is from some persons private repository;

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Mailaender:/branches:/Mono:/Factory/openSUSE_13.1/

There’s 3.8.0 in the factory repo;
