How to Update SLED Using Repos

Does anyone know how to do this? The person in the post below has an internet connection and needs to update some programs.

What would be the best way?

Kinternet install - openSUSE Forums

I’m thinking, start YAST / Software Development and search for “kinternet”. However, I think he said in an earlier post that YAST was not finding the program, so the issue may be one of how to add repos in SLED.

I have not used this version, so I don’t know how to do updates there. Could Smart or Zypper be used to do the update? Anyone?

Hi
Your in a catch 22 situation, to get updates you need to register your
activation code online for the online update repositories to be
added…

SLED is based around the 10.1 code base and uses rug/zmd for the
backend.

Yeah, I don’t know why he doesn’t update to a newer version, but he said that his PC does not have a CD drive, so this presents a major problem.
