How to uninstall Netbeans 8 - was installed as root

Hello,

I made a late night & rookie mistake (because I’m a rookie) and downloaded Netbeans 8 as root and then installed it as root as well. When trying to correct my mistake I started ‘sh uninstall.sh’ in the Netbeans installation folder but I get 'cannot create folder /root/.nb/ ’ error and the uninstallation fails. (I tried with Yast too but that also fails). Please, how can I get pass this error and get Netbeans uninstalled.

Thanks,
robopoulos

Have you tried uninstalling as root?

P.S. Shouldn’t this post be made under Applications rather than Install/Boot/Login?

Yes, did all the time and several attempts. But now after rebooting it finally succeeded. There were some issues during the installation too, so maybe the rebooting solved what ever was the cause.

Thanks!

Ok, I’ll check more carefully the next time.
