How to trim $PATH

The last part of my $PATH variable is /usr/lib64/jvm/jre/bin:/usr/lib/mit/bin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin. The last two directories do not exist on my file system and I would like to delete them. They are added to the existing $PATH in two files, /etc/profile.d/krb5.csh and /etc/profile.d/krb5.sh. These files only instruction is to add the two missing directories to the $PATH. Can I safely delete them?

Thanks.

I would not delete them just remark out the lines.

Worked. Thanks.

My bill is in the mail :stuck_out_tongue:
