How to trigger akonadi search to update db?

how would i trigger akonadi search to update db, I cannot seam to find a refresh/scan/search option for it, how would i go about this?

I want to be able to send emails from the search dialog in launch menu

I followed these instructions in an older post

Try to delete the folders ~/.local/share/baloo/ and ~/.local/share/akonadi/search_db/ if they exist to force a reindex.

but when i went back to Kmail and clicked Update This Folder and All Its Subfolders, it did not fix my issue

I then tried clearing akonadi cache through Kmail and then restarting akonadi, it did not fix my issue

what do you recommend?

wellll, um I guess"something" scared it into submission because now it works again
