hi I just installed opensuse and I’m new to Linux. I can’t figure out how to use tethering on opensuse. can someone help me? thanks
Generally speaking…
You start by installing a tethering app on your mobile device. You can set things up manually, but generally speaking for most who want to avoid the technical details of setting up a proxy(This is how Android/Cyanogenmod does it, not setting up the phone as a modem) and passing packets to either a BT or USB connection, an app that does all that for you is preferable.
Once the app is running, then set up a network connection in Network Manager (preferable over Wicked).
There’s a lot of detail I’m skipping over, but the above steps describe the basic steps.
