I have connected externeal monitor via DP on my laptop. When i plug in cable, system automatically detects new monitor and clones desktop on both (laptop screen and external monitor) But, i want to disable laptop screen and work only on external monitor. How i can do it?
Key combination Fn+F4 does not work - nothing happens, and i cant see any option in menu related to monitor.
You do not say which hardware you have.
The Fn+F4 function should toggle you through 4 states,
- internal monitor
- monitors cloned
- desktop over both monitors
- external monior
may be not in that order
This function should be part of the initialisation of the hardware
Do any of the other Fn keys work correctly?
Have you deleted any packages that came with the original setup?
