I would like to set up a private cloud. The cloud server is connected to the internet via a dynamic IP address. The cloud clients include several computers with openSuSE installed, and several Android smart phones. I don’t want to use my web host, or third party cloud service, as the data contains client contact and appointment data. Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at OpenStack - it’s supposed to now run on openSUSE and
provides cloud services for a private cloud.

There are a zillion ways… AFAIK openSUSE supports practically every virtualization technology I know except Microsoft’s technologies (eg Hyper-V). I know for instance that Xen, VMware, Eucalyptus and Virtual Box run just fine on openSUSE, and .QEMU, Linux containers and KVM should too (These last are very different from the first paravitualized platforms I listed).
Here is a Wikipedia page to get you started

Learn the virtualization technology of your choice based on your solution objectives (The list can be very long), and go at it. At that point, if you have specific technical issues and questions, you can post back here (Or the special openSUSE virgualization forum).
