How does on set the source file for Kontact calendar and contacts, and/or what files to delete to start fresh? I inadvertently imported the wrong calendar file, and I can’t seem to get rid of it. I think the best solution(s) would be to overwrite the source file, or delete the source file and import the correct file. I can’t seem to find this file. KDE4.1, SUSE 11.0
That’s the right answer in the default case, but may not be always correct.
In the Calendars list in the Calendar module (aka KOrganizer), edit the ‘Default KOrganizer resource’ and you can where the calendar file is located. For a file resource (the default), it’s in the Location field.
Interesting, the files located at
/home/.kde4/share/apps/korganizer
include the folders: designer, income.accepted, income.cancel, income.counter, income.deleted, income.reply, and income.tentative.
It does not include any other files.
Interesting, when I open Kontact, it opens into a summary page. When I open “settings”, there is no menu for setting KOrganizer. I don’t see where one sets “Default KOrganizer Resource”.
Hello,
I just stumbled upon this post. I had this same error a while back using KDE 3.5.9 and Kontact. Something got messed up in the kontact config file. I don’t remember the specifics of how I fixed it, but I compared the config file from my laptop (that appeared correctly on the screen), and the one on the problem computer. When I restarted Kontact, it worked.
